We spent a blissful week in Mississippi at the serene Askew Landing Campground. It was a perfect spot for me to study and for us to get our lives organized.
The campground at Askew Landing was a perfect spot. Nestled by a serene lake, it offered not one but two dog parks for our furry companions to enjoy.
Originally, we had plans to stop in Louisiana on our way to Texas, but we kept going and made it to Palestine, Texas.
The drive was an adventure, with the weather and rain adding a thrilling element. At one point, a section of the road was flooded, and we managed to pass through just before the police closed it off.
So much of East Texas is flooding. You see ranches that are flooded out.
We stayed the night in Pastine at Texas Gold RV Ranch before moving on to Gonzales, Texas.
Driving through Texas is beautiful. I love to look at the ranches’ cows, cows, and more cows. The Texas scenery is peaceful to me and puts me at ease .
Today, we had the pleasure of visiting the Brewery in Shiner, Texas. The food was a delight, with their potato salad being a standout. I couldn’t resist getting some brisket to go-a true Texas delicacy that never disappoints.
Tomorrow, the Cattle Country Music Festival begins with so many amazing artists, not to mention the headliners: Koe Wetzel, Whiskey Myers, and Eric Church.
